  • Doh! Trump advisor says the quiet part about the jobs report out loud…

Trump’s top economic adviser, National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett—one of the administration’s most visible defenders— just admitted to the media that the job numbers were weaker than we expected, completely undermining Trump’s smear campaign against the Labor Stats chief he fired.

By my count, that is at least the sixth time one of Trump‘s officials have publicly undermined him and in the process called into question his “fake news” narratives against anyone who dares to question him or, God forbid, make him look less perfect than the infallible pope of American govt that his base have propped him up to be.

It must be very difficult, keeping up appearances of infallibility. I would go as far as to say it is absolutely exhausting, and those participating in it are exhausted and probably ready to quit.

Beyond all the hypocrisy, double speak, flip flopping, witch hunts, double mindedness, and deceit, the real victim here is we the people who, on an increasing basis, are being deprived of the truth by every institution in existence, including the Trump administration.

But that doesn’t mean we can’t get the truth. We don’t actually need government reports and media research to get to the bottom of the truth. All we really need to do is talk to a lot of people out here in the real world. If we do, we will find that we are living in anything but the golden age, that consumers are living on credit, that they are upside down, that employers have stopped, tiring, and much more. T

The institutional authorities might be able to conceal the truth, but the truth will not be concealed… at least not if all of us demand that it surfaces.
